Greetings chum, have a drink on me, I have a story to tell you. You mustn’t repeat this for it is too valuable for the masses but I owe you and this is your reward. I gather you’ve heard the rumors about a magic document, a wow quest help guide of sorts? Let me begin the tale, it’s about a poor warrior, but I’ll tell it in his own words.
I stopped at the inn at Orgrimmar for a quick drink and some supplies when I spotted him sitting in the corner nursing a flagon of mead. I knew him from the raids on the Scarlet Monastery but I hadn’t seen him in a while. I needed a rest anyway so I ordered the same from barkeep Morag, went to his table, and pointed at the chair. He acknowledged me with a nod and I noticed he was now eight levels above me. How had he done that? I heard rumors about some WoW quest help guide but I didn’t really believe they were true and if they were I didn’t think it would really do much good. Just a waste of good gold I thought.
I was impressed to say the least, we both made level 39 back then and we were in competition for the Scarlet set of armor. I got it, the whole set, I was splendiferous in red and I knew he was envious. I was proud that I was now wearing plate armor and a level 50 warrior but I could tell he was way ahead of me. And he was a noob, a blood elf paladin. I was probably a level 20 when he made level 2. I couldn’t hide my envy, I congratulated him and tried to hide my curiosity but finally I had to know. “How did you level so fast?”
He said he was running around grinding when he found a strange shiny purple document. He’d never seen anything like it before, and he couldn’t tell me when he got it because he just auto looted it and noticed it much later. He was going to destroy it but decided to take a look. It was magic; it told him where he should go next and what to do step by step. “Well” he said “it made a sort of sense so I followed it and it was right”. The next time he opened it told him to go somewhere else and do another quest, it was magic see.
Now he’s getting ready to journey to the Outlands and I still had eight levels to go to get there. So I asked him if I could see it but he told me “I never show it to anyone, I usually don’t even mention it but we’re old pals”. He was splendid looking in his new bright shiny plate armor. I knew I’d never have a chance in a duel, and anyway he had that damn pally bubble. He finished his drink and left wishing me luck. I needed more than luck, I needed that damn document.
So now I’m going to quest in the hinterlands and grind some turtles and hope I get a drop of a strange document. The quests are good xp there and the turtle drops are profitable. It’s all I really know to do next. I wish I could just buy the document at the auction house but it’s never been seen there either.
